One more sleep until Harry Potter!

Okay, I'm actually more excited about seeing my adorable and pregnant sister. But Harry Potter is a nice bonus! Plus I get to see Adam and Chuki and Lucy.

But, of course, I can't dream of visiting Lucy without bringing Mischief. The cat that every cat loves (well, Chucki "tolerates" Mischief but as far as Chuki standards go, that's a close to "love" as he's gotten with a cat).

So tomorrow my little one and I hit the road. Mischief is actually great to travel with. Just chills on the passenger seat and rests and listens to music. But he's excited to see his pal Lucy. It's going to be a great weekend. We'll have to fill you in all about it when we get back!

Yeah!

Wishlist!

So many many people are trying to come to terms with the expected release date of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix on DVD.

The date has been announced, revoked, announced again and then completely unknown.

As our pals at Wonderday.ca announced in one of their blogs, the newest rumour is that the release will be November 12th of this year.

I'm only going to say one thing about this: If this is true, and this is the release date, it's awfully close to a certain bloggers birthday. HINT, HINT, HINT!!!

And if anyone doesn't understand that, or get the hint, then I give up and no one really knows me.

Goodnight all of you!

Jingle has a crush!

It appears that CGI technology in movies has become too real as Jingle now officially has a crush on CGI movie character.

We decided that it would be nice to watch a no brainer movie and decided on the new release, Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties. The movie itself is cute enough. Cheesy, but cute. With Garfield being the only CGI character and all other humans and animals being real, it's fun to watch the cat's antics. And I've always liked the big orange cat. Well, Jingle was completely captivated by the movie and everytime Garfield appeared onscreen, Jingle would meow. Paw the screen and roll over on her belly. And she only did this for Garfield.

So I can only assume, that my little girl is growing up, and has a crush. Ain't that cute....

So if the real Garfield is out there somewhere reading this, I think I have a fan over here that would love to meet you! Bring Odie if you wish.

I think she's obsessed!

Kitty 1 Oh boy, what to do now. She's obsessed, I know she is! And if I can't do anything about it, I won't get the attention I so rightly deserve!

I guess I should explain. You see, mommy finally got the last audio book for Harry Potter so she now has the whole collection in the books and audio books. She also has all the movies that are out too and their soundtracks. Now don't get me wrong, I like the stories and the movies. For a long time, I made mommy watch the movies everynight while she tried to fall asleep. But sometimes you just need a break!

So now that she has her collection complete, I am constantly hearing a man read the stories through the stereo. And often, Mommy has the book out and is following along! She listened to the Deathly Hallows twice through before she started again from book one and is working her way up. She listens to the book, reads along, then watches the movie! She even takes the audio books with her and listens to them in her car while she runs around the city. And if it's not the books, it's the movie soundtracks!

I still get a lot of attention. She lets me curl up on her stomach while she listens and I get scratches, hugs and kisses. But I'm worried that if she doesn't cure this obsession soon, I may be forgotten!

I'll have to amuse myself! Kitty 4 Help!

The Long Way Down

The boys are at it again, and this time the adventure looks better than ever.

All of you by now should know that some day I'll marry Ewan McGregor. Because of this, I regularly update myself on what's happening with him and what projects are coming up.

I became a big fan of the television series, Long Way Round, which was a documentary on Ewan McGregor and his best mate Charlie Boorman literally riding around the world on motor bikes. They used the opportunity to raise money for Unicef worldwide and the television series was absolutely captivating. It not only showcased our incredible world and the beauty of it, but also the people of countless countries. They didn't hide anything from the cameras, including their concerns, troubles, tears, and mostly, joys and triumphs.

Well, now the boys are at it again, and like last time, it's a fundraiser for Unicef. Reconnecting with their trusty BMW's that got them across every terrain imaginable in Long Way Round, this time in Long Way Down the boys are travelling from Ewan's parents home in Scotland to Cape Town, South Africa. They are promising to make many stops on the three month journey to visit towns, see incredible sights and some world wonders, and visit with more people than ever.

I can't wait for the broadcast to come out on this one. Even though I just found out about it, they are currently on day 70 and in Rwanda. The BBC is offering daily clips and updates on the boys on their site if you want to check it out. And I've already pre-ordered the book, due in January of 2008. Or, you can click the above link and go directly to official website for even more updates.

I am soooo weak!!!

I couldn't do it! I failed! I'm weak! I'm so bummed!

*Sigh*

Temptation became to much and last night. I watched Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix online.

ADAM I'M SO SORRY!!!!

In my defense, all my self control is being used on slightly more important temptations right now and I just need a distraction.

However, on a good note, the movie rocks! I think I will always enjoy the Harry Potter movies, not matter what, but some of the past movies proved that it can be difficult to combine such full, long, stories into a small amount of time. OOTP didn't seem nearly as compressed as GOF. The special effects keep getting better (well, as good as they can get on a camcorder and 2.5 inch screen) and it was just all around enjoyable!

And even though I will probably watch the moie again tonight, and tomorrow night, and the night after that, I still want to see it with two of my favorite people (my bro and sis) in Toronto's lovely IMAX theatre (mostly because London's IMAX closed down years ago) and I hear I may have some visitors at the end of July so I'll take my lovely mom to it too. And even better, Adam's hockey team wants to see it so hopefully, Chantelle, Adam, myself, and the TO version of Dumbledore's Army can all go together! I still want a DA shirt though Adam!

I'd love to write more about the movie now, some of the quirks, my favorite parts, but I'll wait a bit until we all get a chance to see it. I don't want to spoil it for anyone just because I couldn't wait.

Talk to you all soon! Let’s See A Movie

Harry Potter and the OOTP in now on TV Links!

It's here, it's here. The movie is on TV Links.

Check out http://tv-links.co.uk/ if you would like to check it out. It's not the greatest quality, it's a camcorder in a theatre, but for those of you that can't afford to see movies constantly or can't wait for others to see it with you, it's a neat little website.

Adam, I swear, I haven't watched Order of the Phoenix yet, I only clicked the link to make sure the feed wasn't dead.

But I don't know how long I can hang on!!! I'll try. Good thing I have to work this weekend, may not have time to be tempted.

OOTP a hit!

It's one day after the release of the latest Harry Potter movie and so far the reviews are excellent.

I haven't had the pleasure of seeing it yet, but from the trailers and reviews, I have no doubts about the incredibleness of this movie. (Umm, does anyone know if that's actually a word or not?)

In it's first day the movie grossed $45mil which puts it well on it's way to surpase a few box office records. However, even with the worldwide success of the Harry Potter franchise, none of the movies in the past have broken any serious records. Maybe #5 will be the magic one.

Many have said in conversations, blogs, reviews, etc. that the 5th book is the best yet, or someones favorite so it's possible this movie is exactly what the public needs.

I still can't wait to see this movie, it'll be tough to hold out until I can go with my brother and sister. And of course, I want to see amazing things happen for the movie, and see it succeed. The only problem I have with the movie being successful is that all the current box office #1's in every area is a favorite movie of mine so if OOTP smashes some records, then some favorites will loose their spot. So bittersweet!

Good Luck either way and enjoy what could possibly be the summer smash hit this year!

It's almost here!!!

One day and counting!

What am I counting down? Come on, seriously! Do you know me or not? What happens July 11th? Think hard.....

I've been hinting all week in my blogs and so has Jingle!

Okay, for those of you still way behind on the times, "Order of the Phoenix" comes out!!!

I've been waiting a year and a half for this! I can't wait!!

And I'll admit it right here, right now... If Chantelle, Adam and I can't get our schedules together relatively soon, I'm going to cave and make a stop at TV links until we do.

I'm just so excited, my favorite book so far in a movie!

Give me strength, I may loose my cool in the next day. And in 11 days, the final book too. What a month, phew!

Happy Harry Potter day everyone!

Harry Potter Comes Soon!

Okay, really, this blog is more about the fact that my plan of moving the Harry Potter movies to the top shelf, away from Jingle, failed. She got to them. Don't ask me how, I don't know, but I certainly didn't pull them down and drag them to the kitchen and the building is only 6 years old so it can't possible be ghosts. So I guess it wasn't my imagination, Jingle really was going after the Harry Potter movies specifically. There is nothing like waking up groggy in the morning and going to the kitchen to make the coffee, only to slip on plastic cases on the tile floor, yeah!!!!! But, mention does need to be made of the fact that the latest movie is almost here, closely followed by the last book.

I have been anxiously waiting for both to come out for many reasons. It's become tradition for Adam, Chantelle and I to get together and go see the movie with each other ever since the second movie. Chantelle saw the first one with friends and insisted I go with her again and she was right to insist because I've been hooked ever since. After the first the movie, we started going to see each new release with Adam and it's been a wonderful tradition ever since. Even with the last movie, I drove to Toronto to meet them just to make sure we all saw it together and we'll do it again this year, as soon as we figure out when.

Also, I'm excited about the final book being released and feel like I'm the only sister in the world that waits three months to give her sister a birthday gift just so she can get her the last book in our favorite series. Chantelle, Adam, and I get along really well and all love each other, but we openly admit we are different people. We have a lot of different ideas on fun, music, sometimes even movies. We usually do different things when hanging out with friends.

The one constant we have always had, has been Harry Potter. I think that even though the last book comes out this year, we'll continue this tradition of bonding right up until the last movie is released. Then, we'll find something new to bond over.

See you two soon!

Spiderman 3 is a hit!!

Okay, this could be just a post of ramblings to most of you since I think you need to be a pretty crazy sort of person to like all of those Comic Book movies but... I LOVE THEM!!!

So I stole my friends 10 year old daughter who loved the frist two movies and we went to go see it last friday. It was awesome. What an end to the trilogy. I hadn't seen many previews so I wasn't quite sure who the villans were supposed to be but low and behold.... two of my favorites!! Sandman, who is basically a great guy with a lot of bad luck and my favorite Spiderman villian of all, the evil, awful, pure Stan Lee genious of Venom!

Not to mention Venom was pretty hot too. Kind of a Topher Grace fan.

So for all of you that haven't seen it and even sort of enjoyed the first I definately recommend the third. In my opinion, the best yet! Fair warning though if you are going with kids, this part of the trilogy should have never been rated PG. It is considerably more violent and gory than the first two (doesn't bother me at all but I was feeling a little guilty that I had a ten year old girl with me). Although young Jessica loved the movie, no all kids are as mature as her s they may find it rough.

If you don't have kids or are leaving them at home, then I think you'll enjoy it. Besides, who doesn't enjoy the occasional film meant purely to show off the latest CG effects, great looking guys in tights or costumes with added muscle, some hot kisses, and some strange basic resemblance of a plot?

Cheers!
Tia
